Mark your calendars for August 9th – 11th because we’re adding a new event to our calendar this year: Ag Progress Days!
What is it?
According to their website, “Penn State’s Ag Progress Days, held annually during three days in August, is Pennsylvania’s largest outdoor agricultural exposition. With over 400 exhibitors from the United States and Canada, there is something for everyone to enjoy at no cost as parking and admission are free. The show is hosted by Penn State’s College of Agricultural Sciences and showcases educational programs, current research, and the latest innovations in agricultural equipment and technology.”

Tuesday, August 9th 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 10th 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, August 11th 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Who will be there?
One of our Seed Specialists, Dale Longwell, will be running our booth and giving plot tours during the event.
Why should you attend?
“This is a big summer event. It is a great time for farmers to see new products that they might integrate into their operation, with the current season still fresh in their mind they can look for solutions to some issue they might have had in the planting or crop tending season. They can get a hands-on look and interact with vendors on products and services that could benefit their farm operations. I know we have a corn plot there with new varieties for 2023 so farmers will get to see firsthand new products to help on either the most productive acre or the tuff acre, maximizing yield and profit potential. I am always excited to go to summer events like these, it gives plenty of time to gear up for next year and even time to implement things for this fall.” – Dale Longwell, Seed Specialist
