Reports From The Field: Spring 2024
April 29, 2024

Indiana
“This is the earliest my guys have been in the fields since 2012! We’ve had record progress in central and southern Indiana. It’s been a dry late April allowing everyone to start early around here. Northern Indiana has been wet.” – Mark Borden, Seed Specialist
Ohio
“The majority of guys are rolling now. I’ve seen a lot of beans planted, some corn too. Nobody is done by any means, but we’ve definitely got a big head start compared to normal this time of year! It dried out fairly fast. We do have rain in the forecast now, but temperatures are looking really really good this week. There’s no reason to hesitate if you can get in the field!” – David Woodruff, Seed Specialist
Tennessee
“Some people got started planting over the weekend, most are going to the field this week. It seems that some are starting with soybeans first this year. We’ve had good conditions so far; rain is expected tomorrow. It’s not dry, but we could use some rain.” – Steve Miller, Seed Specialist
