Part of the joy and challenge of being a business owner and farmer is I get to wear many hats. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our farmers than acknowledging the many hats they wear.

As owner and president of 1st Choice Seeds, I wear many hats. These hats include day-to-day oversight of the business, leading our sales team, taking care of customers, leading our R&D program, and product management. This keeps me busy year-round. But “busy” is not a strong enough word to describe spring at 1st Choice Seeds! Everyone jumps in and helps where needed. You may find me bagging seed, or I may be in the semi delivering seed to your farm. I could be working the test plot before a storm rolls in, or making final adjustments on the planter. I may be out in the shop until midnight changing tires on the semi, or patching together a Power Wheels tractor to try to get it through one more season. I wear a lot of hats. And I know you do, too.

We know as a farmer, you have many hats to manage. When you wear our hat, it’s one less hat to worry about. We have the products and expertise to fit every farm we service. Let us help you manage your most important input decision so you have more time for the other hats you love to wear.
